In 1991 I had the privilege to be on the launch team of the very first commercially produced digital camera system at Eastman Kodak Company. Even before the cameras were available, I was able to travel to several exciting locations to demonstrate the new technology using a prototype of the system. I actually did take it out “in the field” and photographed with it. I took the photograph in the flyer in New York’s Chinatown with a third generation camera, the Kodak DCS 420 circa 1994.
I will be exhibiting photographs and anecdotal materials from the beginnings of Digital Photography in Vienna during the month of November.
